I got this…we got this

An interesting day. A day dominated by emotions. A journey that began with surgery, became chemotherapy and finished with healing. A journey dominated by emotions. My emotions. Raw and real. This blog is emotional. Therapeutic to write. Perhaps that is why I choose to write. To sit in the same chair every night. Twenty minutes. That’s it. Then read it back to my family before I publish my words. There are always tears. A few minutes of tears every night. It has been hard. But I got this. My journey is almost complete. Now, my next task. Helping others. I won’t let you down. Your Cancer journey becomes mine. So many of you have reached out. We got this. You got this. Together.
Day 36. Thanks for stopping by. Cancer sucks.
God bless,
-Ian

  1. Thank you for putting this all out there. You help us all remember that what ever it is, we can do it. Wednesday I am having part or all of my thyroid removed depending if there is cancer present. I am scared of the cancer(more on that in a minute) but I feel more scared of no thyroid. Gaining 60 pounds and have my emotions go out of control. You have reminded me, daily, that I can do this. So thank you! As far as the cancer goes, 2 things. First, my dad died of pancreatic cancer in 1979, age 49 me age 9, so thank you for fighting this fight for your daughters and your wife. Fight everyday. Second, my brother has also lost his prostate to cancer,
so if this thyroid “might” be cancer, it has to go. I am a thin, energetic person, that is me, but if I have to become an overweight person to not have cancer, then I will deal. One more thank you, for
    reminding me to keep fighting
and do what I need to do.
Take care, my nightly dose of laughter, weatherman!

  6. You are a very strong person. I only have to do two small spots on my upper lip. So far, so good. It is much less than you had to deal with.
