Red, splotchy and sore…

The title of this post sounds like a bad law firm name. A few pics from yesterday morning before applying more %#~¥+~?!  fluorouracil 5 on day 8. Not exactly the way you might be used to seeing me on the boob tube. The deep red marks are incredibly painful and grow more numerous everyday…so I’ve got that to look forward to. At this rate I will be ready for a walk on role on The Walking Dead sometime late next week.

Thanks for stopping by, God Bless

  4. Sorry to hear about this latest course of treatment. If there’s any good to be had, my 96 year old mother just finished with this same topical chemo and once everything healed, the area of treatment was smooth as a baby’s cheek! Hope to see you at Lifetime soon. Best to you and your family.

  6. Your face looks very painful – no pain pills? Would sticking your face outside for a minute help? I feel so bad – how long does this procedure last? Still praying for you my friend. Chris

  9. Ian, I know it is a hard, painful, and rough time…but you will get through it all. There are lots of well wishes coming your way from us. When I had to go through 6 months of chemo, I visualize the drugs doing their pack man thing of eating up all the bad cancer cells. Your red blotches are eating up bad and probably some good cells too. Hang in there and we are with you every step of the way. 💙

  10. Oh, Ian, I feel so bad for you. I can see the pain in your face. I am praying for you daily. Thank you for sharing your journey. Having very fair skin, I have not been much of a sun worshipper, more like LaRue on Gidget.

Yes, Red, Splotchy and Sore does sound like a law firm. Just like the one I use; Dewey, Cheatem & Howe.

You have the perfect platform to share with others the damage that the sun can do to the skin. You can get the word out to the young folks in Middle School and High School and they can actually see what can happen to wanting that perfect tan.

God Bless you and your family Ian!
